Help Save Hemp in 2026

The deadline for Hemp-derived Cannabis is looming ever closer, making it more important than ever to work towards a resolution. While the exact date for a ban on THC from Hemp has been pushed back from November 12th to December 11th, the products which would be affected have not changed. At time of writing, there has been no indication that THC from Hemp will be spared, with the legal definition set to exclude any cannabinoid which is not present in the plant at the time of harvest, and severely limiting THC levels to less than 0.3%, including THCA.

However, with help from consumers, there is still a chance to save Hemp products from the chopping block.

What Cannabinoids Will Be Banned?

While many states have already instituted bans on THC products made from Hemp, including Texas, the remaining forms, such as Delta 9 THC are the next target. This would mean that Edibles, Gummies, Tinctures, Drinks, and Topicals which feature noticeable amounts of THC will no longer be available if no changes are made.

How Can You Help?

The best action consumers can take to help preserve access to the products which have become a key part of their wellness routine is to reach out to your representatives and let them know how Legal Cannabis has helped you as an individual. With enough pressure from consumers and producers, we may be able to change the fate of Hemp at the federal level.

What Is Currently Available?
